WATCH: Obama, Bush, Meghan McCain Swipe at Trump During John McCain Funeral Service
Mediaite ^ | Sep 1st, 2018 | Aidan McLaughlin |

Bush — who defeated McCain in the 2000 Republican presidential primary — said that the Arizona senator “detested the abuse of power and could not abide bigots and swaggering despots.”

“He respected the dignity inherent in every life, a dignity that does not stop at borders and cannot be erased by dictators,” Bush continued.

“John’s voice will always come as a whisper over our shoulder: ‘We’re better than this, America is better than this’.”

obama:

“Obama said that McCain “understood that if we get in the habit of bending the truth to suit political expediency or party orthodoxy, our democracy will not work,” and that he “championed a free and independent press that’s vital to our democratic debate.”

from the guy who lied to get obamacare passed including throwing his own mother under the bus by lying she did not have healthcare when she died...

““So much of our politics can seem small and mean and petty. Trafficking in bombast and insult, phony controversies and manufactured outrage. It’s a politics that pretends to be brave and tough, but is instead born of fear.”

this from the same petty little man who said “I won- elections have consequences” after he won in 2008 then followed it up with “I have a pen and i have a phone” after getting his clocked cleaned in the 2014 mid-terms...nevermind using gov’t agencies such as the IRS to target political opponents or shutting down military monuments during a gov’t crisis to punish Americans...

I wonder about that - I kept things with my Dad’s passing classy.

I have no regrets and know what and know what not to do in the presence of the dead.

Then again, I’m a religious person. As I hear abouf this, where is their Christian love for their enemies?

You conduct yourself like Christ. In life, there are rules to follow.

Assuming that the GOP holds the House in the Midterms, maybe the Leftists can replace one of the Confederate statues they toppled with the “tomb of the unknown soccer mom”.

I feel ashamed I voted twice for this man G.W.

I'm feeling more vindicated all the time for voting for Keyes in the 2000 primaries.

I did not like Bush Senior either. This nasty talk from the Bush Brothers towards Presient Trump is a replay of how their father acted towards Reagan during the 1980 Presidential Primaries. Did Bush have something to do with the attempt on Reagan’s life? Sure starting to look thay way.

Reminds me of that true famous observation: History begins as tragedy and repeats itself as farce.

No truer words have ever been spoken.

I’m beginning to wonder if we wouldn’t have been better off if Gore won in 2000. Yeah, it would have sucked big time...but GWB? He paved the way for Obama. And wasn’t that much different in heart and goals.

The man who went out despised now joins hands with Obama!

Let’s hear it for bipartisanship.

If this is bipartisanship, we can do without it.

This is what I call real sleaze! Using a funeral eulogy to attack the President of the United States is in very, very poor taste. The man, John McCain, is lying in his casket and these fools are turning his funeral political.

I think Trump made it clear what he thought of McCain by his actions: trashing Canada, going golfing, and ignoring it.

Suddenly, I lost all respect for George W. Bush. I thought he had more class than that.

I suspect 43's words are not motivated so much by Deep State loyalties, as they are by petty vindictiveness and jealousy and hurt feelings.

The Bushes will NEVER forgive Trump for wiping the floor with "Jeb!" - the new crown prince and heir apparent to the White House, who had been anointed by an aligning of the stars to follow in the footsteps of his brother & father, only to have his throne snatched away from him by a callous usurper.

Can you imagine if Jeb had won, and we'd now have Harriet Myers and David Souter Junior on the USC?

It’s astonishing that this Bush crew is so deluded as to sincerely believe that Jeb would ever beat Hillary Clinton (or any democrat) and become president.

Jeb was always non-competitive in the general election. Thank goodness GOP Primary voters rejected him.
