Meghan McCain took a number of swipes at President Trump on Saturday in a eulogy for her father John McCain -- who sparred with Trump on a number of occasions before his death last week of brain cancer.
'The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again because America was always great,' she said, in what appeared to a reference to Trump's presidential campaign slogan: "Make America Great Again."
She also said that her father's passing represented the passing of "American greatness. The real thing, not cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice he gave so willingly, nor the opportunistic appropriation of those who lived lives of comfort and privilege while he suffered and served."
McCain was being remembered at a memorial service in Washington National Cathedral, attended by former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush. Trump, a week after the Arizona Republican died at age 81 after a battle with brain cancer.

Wishful thinking. What about History, as taught to our children makes you think they will say anything nice about Trump.
I sincerely hope that Governor Ducey listens to our great President Trump and DOES NOT appoint with mother or daughter to fill out McCain’s term.

Ironically, President Trump would like America to be as great as it was in the days of John McCain’s youth. He says so over and over.
On the other hand, there are Andrew Cuomo and the other Democrats proclaiming that America was never great.

It ticks me off that the media is letting her get away with that, and act like those were her own words. this is going on longer and loonger and looonger.
didn’t know “The View” was hosting the funeral speakers. Guess it’s a new funeral trend, started with Aretha’s funeral yesterday and varied over to Songbirds today. They should of had whoopi at Aretha’s and maybe Behar to add to Megans script.
I see that Trump is living rent free in all these people’s minds still. Even funerals are turned into TDS fests.

I’ve heard Meghan McCain say that she’s pro-life on the View. I was surprised, considering she’s pretty liberal on other issues.
Hey, Meghan, you can dump on Trump all you want but it’s your dad who is enduring the wrath of God.
Megan needs to spend less time at the dinner table and more time out fast walking and reflecting on the evils her dad committed against this country.

I laughed before I even saw who penned that...you are my favorite flavor!
They devoted a whole Broadway show to depicting our Founding Fathers as socialist, hate filled Negroes. They destroy American monuments; they are engaged in a campaign of censorship and intimidation. America's ideals of liberty and freedom are being trashed every minute of the day by mega-corporations and their network media megaphones.
I think Meagan is bitter that crowds didn’t gather and nobody but The has been political class gave a damn. I think the past few days did not measure up to her expectations.
We can all do better than that!
