Sad day?

Sounds like a ‘happy day’ to me.

Was VV hysterically anti-Trump?

Thank you for relenting in imposing your definition of what’s important on your fellow FReepers.

>>>This is a sad day for The Village Voice and for millions of readers<<<

If they really had “millions” of readers, why would be they be going out of Business?

First thing that popped in my head (by Alan Jackson):

Well, the folk scene's dead, but he's holding out in the Village

He's been writing songs, speaking out against wealth and privilege

He says, I don't believe in money, but a man could make him a killin' '

Cause some of that stuff don't sound much different than Dylan

I hear down there it's changed, you see

Well, they're not as backward as they used to be

He's gone country, look at them boots .....

I used to get both rags from 1970-’74 to find out concert dates. That was all they were good for.. Same with the NYSlimes.

...a sad day for The Village Voice and for millions of readers.

And...it's that kind of fake news that put you out of business.

Millions?

Maybe hundreds.

Maybe.
