Mayor Ludwig says the comparison hurts. She, too, marched in 1989. “But we marched for law and order, for democracy, for freedom of speech,” she said. “They want to undermine all of these institutions and are instrumentalizing people’s grief over the terrible murder of a young man.” For law and order: when the German state encouraged these criminals to move to Germany and does nothing to protect its citizens.
For democracy: when the same establishment cabal of CDU/CSU and SPD that has ruled and looted Germany for almost 20 years shuts out the AfD, which won 10% of the vote in the last election because voters rejected the establishment.
For freedom of speech: when opposition party members are slandared as Nazis and arrested for "hate speech" that occurred years ago.
It's Merkel & Co. that are destroying German democracy, not the far-right.
