Richard Painter has got to be the strangest dude in political TV. Just listen to the guy. Born in Philadelphia, went to a fancy prep school, degrees from Harvard and Yale, speaks with some kind of strange lockjaw.
Anyhow, on MSNBC tonight, he did his best to discourage top lawyers from assisting President Trump. Painter threatened that any lawyer who helped Trump fire Robert Mueller would “end up making license plates . . . in jail.”
Specifically, Painter tried to dissuade Emmet Flood, who currently serves as outside counsel to Trump, from replacing Don McGahn as White House counsel. Warned Painter:
“Any lawyer that gets wrapped up in helping Donald Trump fire Robert Mueller and obstruct justice is asking to themselves get hit with an obstruction of justice charge, lose their law license, end up making license plates. I don’t think a good lawyer like Emmet Flood is going to want to end up in jail.”

Painter was a lawyer for Bush. I’m actually surprised he didn’t get a gig with Mueller. Being a Mondale supporter against Reagan in 1984. He fits right in with people like McCain,Sasse,Collins,Romney,Graham,and McConnell.

There is no reason to fire Mueller. I tend to agree with the growing chorus that Trump should simply appoint a 2nd Special Prosecutor to investigate.
Mueller’s appointment directs him to investigate Trump, and does not mention any other candidates who may have colluded. So Trump’s 2nd SP should be given the same mandate as Mueller, but not to interfere with Mueller’s investigation and to simply do the same investigation on all the other candidates.
The left and the media keep saying that we need to find out all about foreign influence in our election. If they are sincere then they should not at all object to a complete, full investigation of the election and not just this Mueller investigation which presumes that Trump, and only Trump, is guilty.
Disclaimer - not calling for anyone to actually go out and shoot anyone....odd that folks like me worry about such being taken wrong when so many 'trusted' servants say things they mean with impunity...

The dems and msm are in full panic mode. Thus, the outright threats of what will happen once they regain power.
Of course, the 20th Century is littered with a dozen examples of mass murder after the Left DOES get their way, so maybe a criminal charge isn't the biggest thing to worry about.

I have no doubt you are correct - ironic how the Party that finds so much wrong with plain speak and that finds “mean spirited threats” in so much, is the Party that we really need to fear if they end up with full and sustained power.
Actually, that’s not a bad idea for liberal kritarchist judges.
And why would Trump need lawyers to fire Mueller? He can do that on his own.
If the left gets complete and total power over us, Mueller will undoubtedly be taken out and shot, just like most of us conservatives, with his usefulness being over and all that.
For those of us who are gun enthusiasts, BLOAT and keep your powder dry.
