Why did Arapaio jump in?

The bit of good news in this is that she apparently moved from a purple district to an at least somewhat red statewide office (if she wins).
And Ward, while an actual conservative, seems time and again not to be a great candidate. In this as in most cases, before taking office, the GOP candidate must defeat a Democrat.
If the rumor is correct and Ducey is going to name an actual conservative rather than a McCain family member, then at least the net effect will be to go from two traitorous “GOP” senators from the state to at worst one such, with the other at least more conservative and honorable.
Better hope she becomes the next McSenator, otherwise it's McSinema.
I’m sure the Dem (who answers to Shuemer) will do a better job voting in Trump’s judges...yep, we should stay and count on that.

I’ve never believed in the “3rd person party spoiler excuse.” If Ward was on her game and gave the electorate a clear message that was succinct and on point with conservative values then Arapaio wouldn’t have garnered one percent of the vote. When you’re off message and aren’t appealing to voters you give them all the more reason to back someone other than you.

Arapaio helped gum up the works - looks like all the praise by our side went to his head...then Ward made the inopportune comment about the timing of the announcement of McCain’s demise...our side shot itself in the foot and the only sane thing to do is support the “McCain Redux” ... for now....

The only way to fix this is for Ducey to appoint Kelli Ward senator to fill the vacant spot left by the dead guy.

Interesting math you and those who continue to claim this is the reason she won are using - considering McSally got 53% of the vote making your comments mathematically impossible.
But by all means - continue your hard work to get Schumer in charge of the Senate to block literally everything that comes down the pike from even so much as getting a vote - no judges, nothing. That'll be very helpful to President Trump and the conservative agenda as a whole to keep those conservative judges off the courts, right?
