Democratic congressman says new report shows conspiracy theories are true. President Donald Trump was more intimately involved in the debate over relocating the FBI headquarters than Congress was told, a new inspector general report finds.
Rep. Gerald E. Connolly, a Democrat representing parts of Northern Virginia, said the report he requested from the General Services Administration IG confirmed his suspicions that the president was involved in the decision to scrap plans to vacate the J. Edgar Hoover FBI Building on Pennsylvania Avenue, and move the agency to a campus location in either the Maryland or Virginia suburbs.
When we began this investigation, the prospect that President Trump was personally involved in the government-led redevelopment of a property in close proximity to the Trump Hotel was dismissed as a conspiracy theory, Connolly said in a statement. Now, the presidents involvement in this ...

The Abomination of Desperation.
Sounds like total bullcrap.
The President also conspired to buy Big Macs(with cheese, fries, and supersized) from the McDonalds near the Old Post Office for his immediate staff.
So ?
And ate steak with ketchup.
President Trump has every right to be involved in this decision should he choose.....
A lot of noise about nothing.....
Sounds like Connelley wants a piece of the action. He s a democrat which makes him a dirtbag and can never be trusted.
He looks like an alcoholic homeless bum.
Niels Lesniewski has been my favorite Senate reporter.
Sad to see him peddling such outright garbage.
So what?
Deep State really pissed off the President wants to actually use the Executive Branch’s lawful powers.
And this is a problem because...? The FBI is part of the Executive Branch and the President is CEO of that branch. He is perfectly within his right. I’m sure they can find some way to spin that, too.

What part of the phrase “Commander-in-Chief” is unclear to him?
This sounds like a clear case of a violation of the Emoluments clause!!
IMPEACH 45!!!!!!!!!!!
“Reading this I found several conflicting statements just in the article......so confusing”
Well, you got further than I. Immediately went to comments when I saw Connolly’s name. A former Fairfax County commissioner, feller did an admirable job of creating the Blivet that Fairfax has become. Stand By for Better Days!
First Fairfax-Now Virginia-Look Out USA!
You forgot the sarcasm tag /s
To paraphrase Chevy Chase in Caddyshack...
We have a nice property next to the Trump Hotel and an empty max-security prison in Illinois. The prison would be good for you!
why even bother with all these fake gotchas when there’s so much great stuff that should be front and centre today?
