Instead of trying to accomplish something - anything - McCain wasted most of his political life forever trying to be the “The Maverick”.

He lived to be the burr under the saddle of humanity.

McCain lost track of who he really was, or should be, and confused himself with the man portrayed in press releases.

He gloried in being described as a fighter and ended up being no different that a bad drunk or a muslim terrorist.

The fight itself becomes the end - not the means to an end.

When there are no enemies to fight with they will fight with their friends or innocent bystanders.

The ironic thing was, he was no maverick.

He was simply an angry Leftist. There was nothing against the grain with him. He fit right in being friends with Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, George Soros, and Hillary Clinton.

He fit right in defending Barack Obama and assuring the nation they nothing to fear from him.

He liked to both claim he was a maverick and deny he was a maverick, whichever suited him at the time.

He was a shallow little man who seldom understood U. S. policy. His grasp of foreign affairs came in somewhere between Jimmy Cater and Pee Wee Herman. His advocacy of attacking Russia in Syria, was downright dangerous.

Even after death, the best that can be said of the man, is that he is still stinking up the place, guaranteed to be his only legacy in perpetuity.
