I voted for McCain in 2008 as well. What choice did you have?! I firmly believe that if he won, Obama would’ve taken 2012 and 2016 and Trump wouldn’t have had a chance. Too much white guilt.

I did not see any “Patriotism” in John McCain’s Neocon war mongering. Got the US involved in 2 absolutely useless conflicts in Libya and Syria out of nothing more then his pompous narcissistic ego.

You excuse Ace of arming our country’s enemies because of his acquaintances?

Did you read his 2008 “concession” speech about which our domestic enemies are so enthralled?

Was McCain always like this? I think once the media gave him the title ‘Maverick’ he let it go to his head, and it poisoned his thinking into wanting to be the Party contrarian.

I don’t think there has been this much media coverage of the death of a political figure since RFK was assassinated.

The Vietnamese communists having a statue of this jackass in Hanoi is enough for me to have little or no use for him alive or dead.

...he was exonerated for being too stupid to be aware of what was going on. It may keep you out of jail, but it’s not good on your resume.

This was the precedent for the Comey "no intent" Hillary defense exoneration

Puke! Should be death of a rat. McCain was all for helping various terrorists in the name of Neocon war-mongering. Being dead has not imbued him with any virtues.

A statement that dissagrees entirely with the Book of Esther, and the Feast of Purim.

He was a bad man.
A very, very bad man.

I disagree with your assertion that an average man would work hard to arm ISIS, but if you want to CONTINUE to make that statement then we can debate it until you finally feel embarrassed enough to give up the attempt.

The RNC should broadcast his “Build the dang wall” TV ads which he ran in his last election continuously until November.

Yep. Face it, for the 25-30 years prior to Trump, the only political choices at a national level were liberal democrats, and slightly less liberal democrats.

McCain winning in '08, would have resulted in much the same damage done, only the GOPe would have said, 'Phew, think of how bad it would be if the OTHER guy had gotten in....'. And we'd all keep sending campaign contributions into a rigged game, because a lousy choice is better than none at all.

And, Obama - or more likely, Hillary - wins in '12, or certainly '16, and the country still winds up in the same deep, deep hole, only now with no way to climb out.

But here we are, things are not great, yet, but they're certainly looking up. I, for one, am glad that WBill Jr. finally gets to see what the country looks like when things are going well - I'm sure that's a lesson that won't be lost on his generation.

All things happen for a reason. Only, sometimes, it's hard to understand why at the moment.
