I didn’t know rabies vaccine was only good for 24 hours. How on earth do vets make money when they probably have to throw some away each day? Doesn’t make sense.

I kinda figured they’d run when they saw her. They know you and trust you to a point but others are a threat in their little feral minds. With all the ferals I’ve tamed over the years, I could love on them and cuddle them for a while before Hubby was able to get near them.
I hope you can get lucky enough to get them into the carrier tomorrow.

It WILL be nice when it cools down a little. It does get old staying inside in the A/C so much. But that’s part of living in the south, isn’t it? LOL!

It is part of living in the south. How on earth did we EVER survive without AC? Or was it because we didn’t know any better. LOL!

After today I’m not sure even I can pick up Grey or Junior. They were NOT impressed. LOL! One of the blacks swats at anything that gets close...man or beast...and the other one barely lets me pet him/her when eating. Oh, well.

“Fire in the Hole” has a nice ring, too.

It does, dear, it does!

I’ve lived in several places in the past with no A/C and wasn’t sure I WOULD survive. LOL! It wasn’t fun, that I can tell ya!

Think back to the days before electricity and fans. That had to be really rough! UGH!

Heck, I wonder how people can survive in the northern states during winter when it’s below zero and there are feet of snow on the ground. That wusses me out more than heat. LOL!!!

No telling how it will go tomorrow with the kittens. Seeing a stranger two days in a row might be a bit much for them to take. Good luck!

“I have to agree.”

It’s just perfect in some way.

I hope I never find out about that living during a winter that’s below zero.

Actually, I already have. In Germany. But I was in my 20s and wasn’t as cold-natured as I am now. LOL!

They are certainly starting to go swimmingly.

Leaving Ft. Knox for what will probably be my last duty station before I retire at Ft. Carson.

Actually looking forward to having the word “retired” after my name.

And I promise I’ll start hanging around with my amazing friends here in the Canteen more than I have been lately.

We’ve been below zero here before, and it happened a couple of times when I lived in NC. But they were very short-term drops. Up north, it can stay that way a while. BRRRRRRRR!!!

A tropical island where the temps are comfy year-round would be nice, wouldn’t it? LOL

Wow! Already saying the word “retirement”, are ya? LOL

Nice that you’ve reached the point it’s in your thoughts because it’s getting close. You’ve served long and well.

It’ll be nice seeing you around more once your time is more free. They’ve certainly kept you busy.

It would be perfect. I’ll tell you where perfect is, temp-wise. That’s The San Francisco area. Our son lived there for about 3 years, the weather was to die for. The people? Well.....they were great if you didn’t talk to them. And in parts of SF, they were pushing shopping carts.

But if it wasn’t so expensive to live there, it’d do it. In one of the small satellite towns.

Ugh, perfect temps or not, no way I could live in that area. Never had a desire to live in CA at all .... the ground has a tendency to move. LOL! We had a little trembler here when I was a teen and it was a most unpleasant sensation.

It really is nice to have four seasons. About the time you get tired of one, it changes. :-)

Spent 10 weeks there in ‘75 for my 54E AIT. I was already highly interested in WWII. The PzKw V (Panther) and PzKw VI (Tiger I) were unexpected delights. I had no idea they would be there.

Enjoy it y’all.
