McCain leaves a legacy of standing up for his beliefs Holly BaileyNational Correspondent,Yahoo NewsAugust 26, 2018 Scroll back up to restore default view. At first, John McCain couldnt hear what some of his supporters were yelling. The roar of the crowd often made it too loud to hear anything, and he was already hard of hearing in his left ear, a condition that dated to his days as a Navy pilot and no doubt worsened because of the beatings he suffered during his 5½ years as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.
But in the fall of 2008, during his second bid for the presidency, the Arizona senator could tell that the crowds at his town halls were getting more rowdy something he normally didnt mind. The town hall was McCains preferred way to campaign; it was the format he felt allowed him to truly connect with voters, where people could see who he was, for better or worse. For months, McCains aides had been trying to talk him into holding more traditional events, such as scripted speeches, where he could avoid gaffes that could be seized upon by his opponents. But the candidate stubbornly refused.

Ah, yes. O.K. that makes sense.
No name earned their respect by throwing the 2008 election to Barry Soetoro, or whatever his actual name is.
Next, Yahoo should publish an honest article detailing his beliefs. Many unengaged Americans might be shocked.
McShamey left a legacy of lying, traitorous, cowardly behaviour
He leaves a legacy of standing in our way
McCain leaves a legacy of of shi*ting on the common American folk. He didn’t even try to win the Presidency when his sorry ass was nominated. He gave it away to the Kenyan. POS if there ever was one. Good riddance to RINO fecal matter.
and using the power of government to get his way. A couple of examples of this would be the IRS targeting scandal and the dirty dossier.
on Frenchy Kerry met with the families of POWs/MIAs trying to get their men home, in the senate, the 2 sens both got up and left, turning the lights out as they did.
SB When Sen no name and Frenchy.
As best I can tell he believed in green room coffee and danish as he appeared on TV 100x more often than he set foot in the Senate chamber.

What some are doing reminds me of a story about a guy who had been done wrong by another - he hated the other with every fiber of his being and even though he hadn't seen the other for a very long time, he would spend part of each day hating on him. His hate was so great he even shared it with others until one day another said, "Hadn't you heard, he's been dead for 8 years now."
Time to move on and do something useful - disparaging a dead man will not help us in our fight to MAGA!!!
My condolences to his family.
That said, he took perverse pleasure in frustrating his own party, and especially the conservatives and libertarians within it. We are better off with him not in the Senate.
Call me whatever names you choose.
What beliefs did McCain stand up for?
The only ones I can find are beliefs to fool the voters and support the Swamp in D.C.
Tossinng shade on John McCain during the period of
mourning his is a despicable thing to do. This is the
time to put politics aside. However, McCain himself
politicized his own funeral by disinviting the President
to his services. I hope that Lucifer reminded him of
that as the Senator approached the pearly razor wire
gate.
I have never read so much b.s. in one place about one person in my life.
As far McCain’s “beliefs” the article said McCain wanted to “stand up for”, all you can get from that article is that McCain wanted to be nice guy. Yet, while that was true as far as his public political persona, it was not true beyond the cameras with anyone he disagreed with.
You knew McCain was nuts in 2008, when he claimed he respected Obama (then) for his “accomplishments” which up to then were zip, zero, nada beyond getting elected as a Senator.
