Crazy people are influenced by the society around them, picking up on what is current, and their delusions are formed accordingly. I believe this is why the onset of transgenderism, very little seen throughout history, was so rapid.

Like anorexia. A few cases got publicity, and then suddenly it was everywhere all through the 80s and 90s. Now it seems to have faded away, replaced by the new "it" problem.

I'm in the younger social media with the kids and while you think anorexia has gone away, it's not, unfortunately. It's only quiet since it's not dejur with media but it's presented as being "healthy", "fit", and "pretty" - and girls hurting themselves to be model thin when it's harmful.

I dealt with one young lady a few years back and she was constantly dieting - while being a size 2.

She constantly stressed over becoming fat when she was far from it.

So yes, it's still there, just not getting the media hype, but foisted via social media and print media that it's attainable - or it'll kill you.
