Rudy Giuliani said Thursday "the American people would revolt" if President Donald Trump was impeached.
In an interview with Sky News, the president's lawyer claimed there was "no reason" for an impeachment and called Trump's former attorney, Michael Cohen, "a massive liar.”
"You could only impeach [Trump] for political reasons, and the American people would revolt against that," the former mayor of New York City told Sky News.
Cohen pleaded guilty to paying hush money to a porn actress and a Playboy model at the request of a "candidate" — whom Cohen's lawyer, Lanny Davis, said was Trump — in order to influence the election campaign.
But Giuliani said he believes Trump has been "completely cleared" by Cohen's testimony, scoffing at whether it would be inevitable the president was impeached.
"Hardly," he said. "I think it's inevitable he won't."
"You have this Cohen guy, he doesn't know anything about Russian collusion, he doesn't know anything about obstruction, he's a massive liar," he added.

Trump is elected President, largely for the purpose of cleaning up a deeply corrupt political system in Washington, and the same corruption impeaches him on phony charges, which would solidify the corruption even more, which would erase pretty much any hope of combating the corruption again, and all of the people who voted for him would just shrug their shoulders and give up? No.

Yes they will. They saluted oBo and held their noses. Just talk to them and you will see what I am talking about. Much has been purged since buggery left office.
That isn't going to happen. At the height of the collapse in 2008, the feds had contingency plans that had contingency plans that were never used. The political elites aren't about to allow themselves or their families to live in the mad max environment of total economic collapse. It would take many different "apocalyptic" events to happen all at once in order for economic collapse to really take its toll.
The truth is, there are not any actual patriots willing to stand anymore. There just aren't. See my tagline. In order to stand, one would have to put all at risk - everything they've worked for over the last years would go away - the mortgage, the car(s), the toys, the ability to feed and clothe the kids and to keep the spouse in climate control - all of that goes away when you stand. No one has the balls to do that, so we use the excuse that we're waiting for some big "trigger event" to occur that never will. But hey, at least TALKING about revolting makes us feel all warm and fuzzy, right?

While I agree with your sentiment wholeheartedly, the 3% paintballer panty waists here in CO won't even go to Denver armed, because it's "against the law". I figure they will be the first to turn their guns over when they, too, are "against the law".
