Wrong. Trump needs to wait until he is in a position to control who would take Sessions place. Any lib DOJ career employee who ends up as acting AG is likely to undo whatever good Sessions has managed to accomplish.

Most Freepers have no idea how much power President Trump has to make things happen his way. He can unilaterally establish the succession of replacements in the DOJ through an executive order. He did it once already very early in his term.

He can fire Rosenstein simply by eliminating the Deputy AG post. Congress never established the position of Deputy U.S. Attorney General.

That’s true, but he could in the interim assign a cabinet member to the position. Unfortunately, I think there are only 2 lawyers left in his cabinet. Pence and Sessions. Pruitt just left and he would have been the proper immediate lateral move. That is, in my opinion, why they wanted him gone so desperately.
