Sessions said in the statement posted on Twitter by DOJ spox Sarah Isgur Flores, “I took control of the Department of Justice the day I was sworn in, which is why we have had unprecedented success at effectuating the President’s agenda.”
Sessions then took it to the next level and unloaded on President Trump.
“While I am the Attorney General, the actions of the Justice Department will not be improperly influenced by political considerations. I demand the highest standards, and where they are not met, I take action,” Sessions continued.
President Trump blasted AWOL Jeff Sessions during an interview with Ainsley Earhardt on FOX and Friends which aired on Thursday Morning.
This afternoon FOX News contributor and former GOP lawmaker Jason Chaffetz weighed in on Jeff Sessions.
Jason Chaffetz: I think he’s one of the most ineffective Attorney Generals we’ve ever had in this nation. Donald Trump was right. He should have told the president before he took that job that he would have to recuse himself… He has not pursued a number of prosecutions… I don’t believe him. I really don’t believe him.

Why doesn’t Sessions just offer his resignation? That is the appropriate move when the one who appointed you has so clearly expressed his disappointment in how you are doing the job.

What the hell is Sessions smoking? How can he make a statement like this? His "Justice Department" has BEEN COMPLETELY INFLUENCED BY POLITICAL CONSIDERATIONS!!! The man needs to be fired because of stupidity or for joining the swamp. He is a disgrace and will go down as one of the most worthless POS ATTY Generals in history. He could shut this witch hunt down in a nano-second, but he neutered himself and is watching our president get crucified everyday by crooks.

Jason is right and I heard HANNITY report that Linda Graham said today that e thinks President Trump is entitled to replace Sessiobs “after the mid-term election” with someone more to his liking. Linda agrees that Sessions has been AWOL.

Wow, Chaffetz lowered the boom. Says that Sessions told him right to his face that he wasn’t going to prosecute Pagliano because he was “too close to Hillary Clinton”. Sessions is a scared little wimpering dog.
