Beto ORourke, the Democrat challenging GOP Sen. Ted Cruz in the midterm elections, is being slammed by Republicans for saying there is nothing more American than kneeling during the national anthem.
Comments like his are a slap in the face to every man and woman who has ever served our nation and put their lives on the line to defend American values, Republican Party of Texas Chairman James Dickey said Thursday.
ORourke, a Democratic congressman, was asked at a recent campaign event about NFL players who kneel during the anthem. ORourke replied, I can think of nothing more American than to peacefully stand up, or take a knee for your rights anytime, anywhere, any place.

I thought it was more like "Bob"; short for Robert or in Spanish - Roberto.
Robert Francis O'Rourke sounds real Spanish, doesn't it?
Thanks for that item on the scumbag, Jane. I’ve sent it to others I know who will also pass it around.
Stop spreading the lie that the Cowboys kneeled during the anthem last year!! They did that before the anthem as a show of team unity and all stood for the anthem.
This makes me want to bang my head against a wall. There is NO freedom of speech on the job. If I got a job waiting tables at a steakhouse, showed up for work wearing a “Meat is Murder” t-shirt, and lectured customers when they ordered a steak, I would be fired! You simply cannot say whatever the heck you want at work. You participate in causes on your own time.
That idiot Goodell could have nipped this in the bud by stating this obvious point. Well, except for the fact that America is now afraid of blacks and what they will do when they get angry. Blackmail by threatening riots.
