I don’t think we knew until after we entered Germany.
It was just a joke and reflected my attitude about what’s going on in SA.

Well I recently found out that the Philippines took in around 1,300 Jewish refugees before Japan attacked in December 1941. Because the Philippines were a US territory at the time, their government had to get permission from Washington to do it.
