Too many “immigrants” to take care of. And the USA is falling into that same trap.

A patient waited 62 hours for an ambulance, while four trusts took more than 24 hours to respond to 999 calls, new figures have shown. I thought they changed the number from 999 to 0118 999 881 99 9119 725....3.

In American cities, the “urban demographic” routinely use taxpayer funded ambulances as a taxi service when they have a doctor's appointment or just want a ride somewhere.

I see the problem...he didn't call 911...😋
I know 999 is the UK's version of 911, and the real problem is National Health Care. I hope he didn't need the ambulance in an emergency...

I recently completed a 7 month contract working in a medium-sized city in the northwest. We had homeless bums, Medicaid recipients, and heroin addicts arriving by cabulance every day. Some of the chief complaints I heard: Can I get a sandwich? I have a cold. I’m constipated (heroin will do that). It is a private ambulance service so they don’t care what the reason is as long as it generates a bill to the city.

If you are still alive after 62 hours you either don’t need one or just call a taxi.

This gives them additional time to die. The savings can the go to other less ill peoples needs. I believe that this is how the system is supposed to work.
