CHAPEL HILL Officials at UNC-Chapel Hill wont say where they put Silent Sam, the statue of a Confederate soldier that protesters tore off its prominent pedestal at the states flagship university Monday night.
The 105-year-old cast bronze figure crashed to the ground face first around 9:15 p.m., pulled down by a group of demonstrators with the help of a rope.
Silent Sam was last seen in public about three hours later.
After a couple of false starts, a backhoe loader lifted the statue from the mud and guided it into a flatbed dump truck. Workers loaded the long bamboo poles that demonstrators had lashed together to form an alternative monument to anti-racism that enveloped the statue earlier in the evening and allowed some protesters cover to prepare the pull-down rope.

Someone should have passed amongst those heathens with a shotgun.
Things are going to get really interesting when they run out of statues.
It will disappear.
That way the university is off the hook.
It will not end with Confederate statues.
The goal is erasing American history.
If they don’t put it back up, the mob will have won.
Will they be arrested!.....please
I’m sure I’m not the only one wishing the rope had been used on the “protestors” instead.
Those who would tear down a Confederate monument would welcome a Baphomet satan statue.
They may start cw2. Only the Lord can heal this nation which the left has rejected. If we hold the house in November I think we win in the long run..if the house goes to the socialist atheist haters, I can not see a way it ends well. This election really really matters. I think trumps base will show up.
I keep looking for these on the internet, I would be proud to display one, any CSA soldier
None of these morons understand that the term “Tar Heel” was cleaned up in the 60s.
Tar Heel was what they called slaves, then they cleaned it up to mean “Lowly workers”.
Political Correctness removes large chunks of history. Now people will be doomed to repeat it quicker.
“Things are going to get really interesting when they run out of statues.”
Once monuments to the Confederacy have been eliminated, work will begin on the Revolution. Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe will be eradicated from the nation’s memory. Then Adams, Hancock, and the other northern founders will be eradicated with the excuse they were enablers of the southern slaveholders.
Ultimate US history will begin with the progressive movement and Theodore Roosevelt.
If those students had attempted to tear down the goal posts after a big win they would have been charged with vandalism od school property. Tell me how this is any different?
“Tar Heel was what they called slaves...”
Tar Heels were the original Englishmen there who boiled down pine trees for tar for the British Navy.
Where in the world did you get that information from? Tar Heel comes from Robert E. Lee. It probably started out as a derogatory term but after the WBTS it was derogatory no more.
After the battle of Reams Station, when the North Carolina troops were marching by the troops from another state, one of the soldiers called out to the North Carolina boys and asked them what they were going to do with all that tar back home. “Jeff Davis is going to bring it up here and put it on your heels so you’ll stick better in the next fight,’ was the reply from a North Carolina boy.
Upon hearing of the incident, General Lee reportedly said, “God Bless the Tar heel boys!” The name has stuck to the boys from North Carolina ever since.
NC sent more men to fight for the Confederacy and lost more men than any other state. At Gettysburg alone, Thirty two North Carolina regiments were in action. One Confederate soldier in every four who fell at Gettsburg was a North Carolinian.
Charge to the Sons of Confederate Veterans
“To you, Sons of Confederate Veterans, we will commit the vindication of the cause for which we fought. To your strength will be given the defense of the Confederate soldier’s good name, the guardianship of his history, the emulation of his virtues, the perpetuation of those principles which he loved and which you love also, and those ideals which made him glorious and which you also cherish.” Lt. Gen. Stephen Dill Lee, Commander General, United Confederate Veterans, Apr. 15, 1906

There are lots of clearly visible faces on those videos. Any student involved should be summarily expelled and everyone involved should be jailed.
When they run out of statues they dont like to smash, they will commence smashing people they dont like:
Cops did nothing!
