Many of us care for our stroke victim spouses, profoundly disabled children, dying mothers and fathers etc with aplomb.
Now, if the situation included my now seriously disabled stroke victim wife of 36 years and my 6 year old grand child, I know what my beloved Lady would demand of me. However, once I safely rescued the child, I return for her, even if it was now a hopeless cause.
Don’t even doubt my resolve. I know what I am capable of, having lived through a few dangerous instances, I know what I would endeavor to do.
I really think in your man’s heart, you would too. I hope neither of us has to find out.
