When has Trump ever shown the slightest interest in firing Mueller?
Nothing has changed from yesterday’s nothingburger.
Trump will never fire Mueller, nor will he make any changes at the DOJ in an attempt to end the witch hunt. The witch hunt is not hurting the President at all.
In fact, being a POTUS who ran on anti-corruption - draining the swamp - it is in Trump’s best interest to be the subject of constant intense scrutiny - and still gone up squeaky clean.
He knows better than anyone that he did not collude with the Russians - there is nothing for Mueller to find. But being investigated so thoroughly tells the American people that he is corruption free.
Just as non-corrupt corporations welcome and cooperate a public audit and proudly publish the certified results, Trump is perfectly fine with this investigation.
Sure, Mueller is no friend, but that makes the clean results all the more vindicating.
Sure there is some collateral damage if lower level campaign associates get put through the wringer due to their association with the campaign, but hopefully they’ll be pardoned.
I just don’t see what the worry is. Trump sure doesn’t seem worried.
this is not alogical situation it is political and emotional. Fewer republicans will support his removal of mueller and sessions now. Mueller will continue his witch hunt. Trump is in a far weaker position today than Monday.
The country is worse off. No canton, lynch, obama, prosecutions. Nothing will be done because not looks like retaliation the more his associates fall.
Trump assures mueller regularly. Don’t know if that is “interest” to you. Mueller should have been removed at appointment or when he fills this staff positions.
