“But that is exactly what they have stated they are going to do: label and limit news they consider more fake than news they consider to have authority.”

but not with the firefox browser itself ...

in point of fact, they said that is false:

They say they are using browser data in their analysis, they are teaming with media organizations, and they are using their tech such as Pocket:

“Mozilla will partner with global media organizations to do this, and also double down on our existing product work in the space, like Pocket, Focus, and Coral. Coral is a Mozilla project that builds open-source tools to make digital journalism more inclusive and more engaging.”

Pocket is an app for selecting/filtering web content:
“As our first strategic acquisition, Pocket contributes to our strategy by growing our mobile presence and providing people everywhere with powerful tools to discover and access high quality web content, on their terms, independent of platform or content silo.”

Oh, and look at this:
https://getpocket.com/blog/2015/06/pocket-is-now-built-into-firefox/

And Focus? It is their browser they call Firefox Focus:

Don’t be fooled. They are doing exactly what I and others have pointed out.

Pocket is nothing more than a useless app builtin to FF to help save web pages to ones computer. It comes into use ONLY if you click on it and it is easily disabled. It’s absurd to claim that Pocket is a filter.

Your link regarding Firefox Focus is irrelevant to a discussion of Firefox because Firefox Focus is an entirely different browser, just as Chrome is a different browser from Firefox.

You’re clearly running out of ridiculous claims that Firefox is going to censor the web ...
