Sorry, but I'm dumb.
It is not a good optics for Trump
It feeds into the antiwhite left-wing
Trump needs to vet his employees more strictly
He needs to stop giving Sharpton more ammunition
“Once White House officials were informed about CNNs pending report, Beattie reportedly was confronted and urged to step down immediately.”
If it’s from CNN, it must be Fake News, but the White House fired him anyway..
You can’t walk on eggshells around these commie libs. You gotta stomp the Shiite outta them.
Wait...it’s not okay to be a white nationalist? So if you’re white you can’t be for America? What kind of term is that?
The left considers Nationalism racist.
A White House speechwriter for President Trump was terminated last week after revelations that he had spoken at a conference attended by well-known white nationalists, according to three people familiar with the decision who were not authorized to speak publicly.
Darren Beattie, who was a visiting instructor at Duke University before he joined the White House speechwriting team, was fired Friday after a media inquiry about his appearance at the 2016 H.L. Mencken Club conference, where Beattie spoke on a panel alongside Peter Brimelow.
Brimelow, founder of the anti-immigrant website Vdare.com, is a “white nationalist” and “regularly publishes works by white supremacists, anti-Semites, and others on the radical right,” according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, an advocacy group that tracks extremists.
Earlier this year, Brimelow described himself as a believer in “racial nationalism” who sees the future of the United States “precipitating out on racial lines.”
CNN’s KFile, an investigative unit, published a report Sunday on Beattie and his appearance at the Mencken event, which has been attended in the past by white nationalist Richard Spencer. Spencer is a prominent figure in the “alt-right,” a movement whose adherents are known for espousing racist, sexist and anti-Semitic points of view.
Once White House officials were informed about CNN’s pending report, Beattie reportedly was confronted and urged to step down immediately. But he apparently refused to resign, arguing that he was not racist and that he had made uncontroversial academic points at the Mencken gathering. When it became clear that Beattie would not resign, the people familiar with the matter said, the White House terminated him.

Bad optics is a good way to put it.
Since when in Richard Spencer an anti-Semite. absurd.
How do you feel about Stephen Miller? He’s next. Give them a finger; they’ll take your hand.
Did you know Miller was at Duke U. with Richard Spencer? SPLC is working on it.
There should not be anything wrong with being a white nationalist unless that means you hate black people. So you can defend white people, but you can’t say black people are all a bunch of dumb murders. You can defend America, but you can’t say that people in Africa don’t have a right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
You can think that there are more murders among the set of all black people than all white people. But you can’t say there are no murders among white people. And you would have to admit that there are still fewer murders among the set of all Asian people.
Obviously he was trying to infiltrate this group so he could expose them in one of his speeches. Also note they are following everyone associated with Trump in any way at all times. That's called stalking.
SPLC needs to stop having so much influence.
Should never buckle to left wing agitprop.
It never pays.
They just lost a $3M lawsuit for defamation. Whoever ordered the firing should be fired.
Curious on the back story, on this firing. Please ping if you find any additional info out.
TIA.
My first inclination from his post and screen name is that he's a vacuous imbecile who makes everyone around him look like a bunch of dumb schitz, but maybe he can wow me and explain why he would want POTUS to have a "pro-white speech writer."
Just wonderin'
Duke didn’t have a problem with him!
11 Nov 2026: Duke Chronicle: Professor who predicted Trump’s win explains how he knew, what comes next
By Likhitha Butchireddygari
Darren Beattie, Ph.D. ‘16 and visiting instructor of political science, predicted at a political science department gathering Nov. 2 that Donald Trump would win the presidential election. Beattie was also a signatory on a list of “Scholars and Writers for Trump,” who endorsed the candidate. The Chronicles Likhitha Butchireddygari corresponded with Beattie to discuss how he was able to foresee Trump’s victory and what a Trump presidency will look like.
Darren Beattie: I thought Trump would win as early as July of last year. There are various signals that someone really attuned to politics knows to look for. One of the signals for me is when Trump made his provocative remarks on immigration and then refused to apologize in the wake of overwhelming corporate and media opposition. Let me be very clear: This does not mean that I like the way he phrased his remarks. My point is that his willingness to take a position on immigration so antithetical to corporate Republican donors and then not be cowed by the usual shaming tactics reflected early on a certain independence and flexibility that led me to think we’re dealing with a very different type of candidate than we’re used to. There are other signals like this, but I can’t get into them all.
Trump’s position on immigration (apart from his provocative word choice) is in many ways very close to [Democrat Bernie] Sanders’ before Sanders compromised to the Democratic National Convention. Check out Sanders’ “Vox” interview with Ezra Klein, for example. More important, let me say a few words about polling and pundits. One thing about pundits and “experts” that readers have to understand is that they are not paid to make accurate predictions or give accurate analysis; they are paid to give predictions and analysis that advance a particular agenda, usually the agenda of some billionaire benefactor or corporate media platform. This is a powerful explanation because it accounts for how most of these people can be utter failures and somehow keep their jobs. Just watch, now a lot of these people who were wrong about everything will be asked their “expert opinion” on how and why they went wrong!...
