No one has suggested the obvious, and the way it works in most companies. You leave you don’t get access to things you had during your work career. Something comes up where your past expertise is needed you are contacted, updated on a need to know basis, and asked to relate the current to the past for your perspective.
You may be hired as a consultant if needed , and then return to normal “ don’t need to know” status.
These MSM fools don’t realize many of us worked around “ secrets” and provided things for the government from out companies most of our working lives , and don’t complain at all when we truly “ retire”
