I’ll wait till after the elections in November to feel good about any waves.

Happy if Democrats feel so confident they again become complacent
.
Not I

Very smart of you. Just as the progs were excited about the blue wave, too many here are proclaiming a red wave. The only waves happen in favor of the party out of power in the White House. The best I think the GOO can hope for are results similar to 82 and 2002. Better than that is asking too much given the history of midterms and the endless anti Trump drumbeat ofbthe media addedto the enthusiasm of the socialists.

It is my belief that the reason the party out of power (presidentially speaking) usually makes gains in the mid-term elections because they are more motivated. They lost. They have an axe to grind. The winners are more complacent, and maybe less motivated to go out and vote. That's the model.

But. You have to throw out conventional wisdom in the Trump era. In MY opinion, the Trump voter is NOT complacent. If anything, he is more pissed off than ever. I think that the Democrats will not be happy the day after election day. Why? Well things are better in this country. The Democrats are becoming howling Moonbats. And the whole Mueller witch hunt will DRIVE Trumpers to the polls. Just watch.
