One question that did come up. Does everyone on the President's WH team (including relatives) have security clearance? They should or they should leave. And what about Omarosa? The more we learn about her, the more we have to wonder how she had security clearance.
Then there's the issue of lying for a security clearance. Of course, anyone who lied on the application should have clearances permanently revoked.
If there's no one left to work for the Deep State, that's just icing on the cake.
I believe that it began when you could get rich in Washington whether you were in government or out of government. And, the coin of the realm in Washington has always been information. Those who are in the know can line their pockets and when you become out of the loop, you have no worth in that world. A security clearance is an essential credential for a Deep State operator, without it you are dead in the water. Like most things, Trumps understands power and understand how people get it and keep it. He has discovered the Achilles heel of the Deep Staters and they are squealing like stuck pigs because they know that they are next. Brilliant.
I agree. It seems to me the matter of controlling security clearances is extremely important. I suspect half the intel community of China and Russia have been able to obtain a US clearance under their own name or with a phony name.
Now is the right time to clean up the entire program. Have everyone in need of a clearance reapply and undergo the appropriate background investigation. But if the need is not there, do not reapply and do not grant it.
