Sometimes I think all the hand-wringing about some sort of online "war on conservatives" is silly. Sure, dude, maybe nobody is paying attention to your brilliant tweets because you've been shadowbanned. Perhaps Twitter's "Trust & Safety Council" really is keeping you from reaching the audience you deserve. Or maybe you're just boring and kind of dumb? I tend to be skeptical of these complaints, but it's possible that there really is an ongoing conspiracy to silence half the country. I have to admit, it would explain why I keep getting suspended from Twitter for no good reason. Maybe Twitter really is out to get conservatives, even us RINO cuck #NeverTrump traitors who probably love Hillary.
Just yesterday, I got locked out of my main Twitter account (@jtLOL) for 12 hours:

What rule did I break? I have no idea, and apparently they're not going to tell me. How do I avoid breaking that rule again? Beats me. It's tough to avoid repeating the infraction if I don't know what it was. (Good lookin' out, Franz Kafka.)
Several other non-liberals I know also got a 12-hour lockout at the exact same time. Why? They don't know either.
At least this time, I only got locked out of my account. A few weeks ago I was suspended outright, based on false reports by alt-right trolls. My account was then reinstated, and this is the closest I got to an explanation:

And this is just the latest incident. Last year I got suspended for using the wrong emojis to describe leftist darling Bradley Manning:

That was dumb, but at least I knew my "crime."
Twitter can make up any rules it wants and enforce those rules any way it wants. And its users can point out when stuff like this happens to them for no given reason.
In the meantime, the effort to erase Alex Jones from the Internet continues. I do not like Jones, which is why I only pay attention to him when people are telling me why I shouldn't pay attention to him. Lately that effort has been driven by CNN's Oliver Darcy:
Twitter said Friday that the accounts belonging to far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and his fringe media organization InfoWars would, for now, remain online, one day after a CNN investigation found that Jones' Twitter accounts appeared to have repeatedly violated the company's rules.
That's right: CNN is "investigating" tweets by a guy they don't like because Twitter hasn't given into the outrage mob and banned him yet. It's not enough that Twitter gives you the tools to block any other user, or mute them, or even mute entire conversations and/or certain words. That's insufficient. Nobody else should be able to see the stuff that you don't like.

What I notice is that people whom I follow are not showing up on my timeline.
But if I pull up their home page I see that they have been posting. Twitter is messing with their account or with mine. Or both.
For those who aren’t using twitter, this would be like FR keeping you from seeing the posts of other freepers, and them from seeing your posts, without either of you realizing that it is happening. Shadow banning.
Twitter does this because twitter can be a powerful way to network and to share information, and they are deciding who gets to do that.
And what exactly do you think that Trump can do about it?
Remember, one rogue employee hated Trump so much he cut off his account. Then found out and restored due to public uproar.
Easy to figure out, they want to influence the upcoming election.
If the pubs win, there should be retribution that hurts. Something on the order of careers ruined, fortunes lost, public shaming, etc.
That’s a good reminder.
If Trump says a good word for Alex Jones he will have to be painted with a broad slanderous leftist brush “just like Jones” for wacky conspiracy theories and provable nonsense.
That will make Trump an easy target again.
Would trust anything called “trust and safety council”? The name sounds nice, but masks a fascist reality.
Initially, they were private companies, but not they operate as public utilities......
It’s possible some were, but I’ve heard complaints from legitimate conservative users that they were banned for one reason or another.

That may be, but they are not legally declared utilities. And until that happens, which they will fight with every $ they have, they will continue to ban or censor whomever they will.............
It’s starting against FR too.
For years when I opened my Microsoft browser it showed me a Bing search box with my recently visited pages.
Now FR will NOT appear as a recently visited page, no matter how many times I have been there. I can still navigate to it by typing it in the address bar but Bing is apparently not going to help me anymore.
When are these social media monopolies going to be busted up Mr President???

When I was six years old I lived in a place that had a switchboard operator. Ms. Settler for was a very fine lady. What if ms. Setzler had listened in to every phone conversation, and pulled the plug on every one she deemed offensive. Same principle.
Of or she did not. Precedent already set.
So is Microsoft. Gab is run on Azure. Gab was the ‘safe haven’ for speech, and then MS comes up and says, “We’ll deplatform Gab”.
It’s getting real out there.
As I pointed out on a thread yesterday, Trump has not fired nearly enough people. Should have hit the ground running with that on 1/21/2017.
I think he was too naive in thinking that all those in government service were working for the good of the people.
FIRST THING CLINTON DID WHEN HE WAS ELECTED IN 92 WAS TO FIRE THE ENTIRE DOJ.....................Should have learned..............
