As with anything the City of Chiraq, there are innumerable rules and regulations from an unknown number of governing agencies.
There are many specialists to help you navigate the semi-visible maze. There are no guarantees.
I have had my share of dealings with them.
Ranging from 11+, he was Fed EPA (on 0-10) positive good people, many mindless paper pushers, too many lazy holes, and one that still concerns me to this day.(Received a call after 9 PM on my personal cell phone from Il State EPA, a number I have never ever given out????)
The approvals come from the same bunch and they are just as likely to make a mistake against you, as for you.
And any mistakes are your problem to correct.
Had one, a minor change was made, stamped and approved.
After completion, they claimed we made unapproved changes and wanted massive corrections.
Send copies of everything, basically, they said SO WHAT, THE APPROVING ENGINEER HAD DIED!!!!!!
That one went to court.
