Attorneys for Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman who is on trial for financial crimes in federal district court Alexandria, Virginia, will not present a defense of their client, ABC News has learned.
Government prosecutors from Special Counsel Robert Muellers office rested their case on Monday, so without a defense, the jury is expected to begin deliberations following closing arguments.

Sometimes it is just better to put your defense in the closing arguments, sometimes you can just overload a jury with nonsense better to just tell your side and be done with it!!!! With the way the judge has been treating the prosecution the jury already has some idea that the case is a bunch of BS!!!!

The defense did ask for an acquittal but the judge declined. Its going to the jury but the judge will give jury instructions.
