An Egyptian court on Sunday sentenced the Muslim Brotherhoods Supreme Guide, Mohamed Badie, to life in prison in a retrial on accusations of inciting street violence, his lawyer said, according to AFP.
Four other leaders of the group were sentenced to life in prison as well, said defense lawyer Abdel Moneim Abdel Maksoud. He named the others as Mohamed el-Beltagi, Essam el-Erian, Safwat Higazi and El-Husseini Antar.
We will appeal the sentences within 60 days, the lawyer told AFP, adding that four other people were sentenced to jail terms of between 10 and 15 years.
The accusations date back to July 2013 when Muslim Brotherhood leaders and members marched in Giza, west of Cairo, in protest over the ouster of President Mohammed Morsi, a member of the group.
The defendants were charged with terrorism, attempted murder, forming an armed group to attack citizens, and illegal possession of firearms, according to AFP.

Big difference on how ME countries like Egypt & SA treat MB.
Egypt & Saudi are putting MB in prison.
US is putting MB in positions of authority in gummit

They should have executed them. No good will come from any of them remaining above room temperature. Egypt will probably live to regret not offing all of them, as they will remain a rallying point.

Mohamed Badie and several of his cohorts should be shot for the chaos and deadly torturous murders they are 'directly responsible for during the Egypt Revolution. They are lovers of death and violence without question. I watched and listened carefully these bad actors of utter evil operate throughout the Revolution, the lengths of torture and killings they officiated over was as bad as Isis....setting fires, burning people alive etc. It was utterly horrific what they did. While this was happening Obama, Hillary, Kerry and McCain continued to support the mb Islamic terrorist President Morsi, ( who the US supported and financed morsi's Election.)
