I don't pretend to know all the facts surrounding this Beltway intrigue, but I know Donald Trump well enough to say the following with absolute certainty:

There isn't a chance in hell that Donald J. Trump went through everything he's accomplished in the last 3+ years only to let himself be undermined by some slow-talking career politician from Alabama.
