Down Syndrome cannot be eliminated through abortion, evil as the attempt is. It is not an inherited condition. Any healthy couple can have a child with Down Syndrome. So the policy of murdering unborn babies diagnosed with Down Syndrome would have to be conducted perpetually.

Exactly. They intend to perpetually murder in the womb children testing positive for Downs. The tests they use (amnio, etc) were devised to detect certain problems in older women, but now they run them on every pregnancy, specifically to find the down babies. Sadly, of course, there are false positives. On the good side, all the recent publicity (mostly American) about “Iceland Isle of Death” is raising awareness... women there are now starting to give birth to the Down babies.
