Yeah, I know, npr. But it offers some insight as to the lies the left continues to spread. I suppose the first in the article is the "photo" issue. Yup, gazillions of folks there to cheer Obxxx and virtually no one there to cheer President Trump(note this comment: " his first and maybe only inauguration"). Fortunately for us, anya has "edited" the conversation for clarity and length. I suppose she assumes(I know, ass-u-me) that those that read her crap aren't as smart as she and must dumb down the article? Read it if you like. Some truths and some lies. And with everything anymore, several grains of salt could be required.

The crowds at the Obama inauguration were textbook examples of the hive mind. It was one of the most bizarre things I have ever seen.

>>”I started out the new edition with the famous two photographs of the inaugural crowds of this guy named President Obama, his first inauguration, and this guy named President Trump, his first and maybe only inauguration. And you just look at those two photos and they’re completely different. There’s all kinds of grass and gaps that you see in the Trump photo.

how queer, the 360 photo of Trump’s inauguration didn’t have these gaps once the crowd was through the gates. but hey, 8am photo vs. 11am photo (or whatever).

Recall how Herr Obama pinched the crowd (with gating to control where they stood) and specially staged the cameras to make his German campaign stop appear to be a bigger crowd than it actually was.

is the “photo” issue.

The Obama one is taken during the inauguration; the DJT photo is taken in the early morning - hours before the inauguration. NPR is perpetuation a lie from its opening paragraph.

Photos taken during the actual DJT inauguration show many more hundreds of people than in the Obama one taken at a similar time.

>> the downturn in American race relations, starting after Reconstruction, that saw the rise of lynchings and the Ku Klux Klan. In doing so, Lies My Teacher Told Me overturned one assumption embedded in the history classes I’d been sitting through all my life: that the United States is constantly ascending from greatness to greatness.

Hey lady, those were Democrat “insurgents” who didn’t like black people, Republicans, Jews, Catholics, and more groups.

There was a Klansman on the Supreme Court who decided the case against the Catholic schools being able to use city school buses to get the kids.

What party is she slavish to today?

Anya, I give you a D for

1) lack of originality

2) failure to succinctly and coherently state your thesis, which is that you think America isn’t great and never has been

3) absence of any mention of the opposing arguments for why America is considered great

4) general lack of clear thinking

I just finished reading The Soul of America: The Battle for our Better Angels by Jon Meacham (New York: Random House, 2018). As he tries to make the case that our "better angels" call for progressive, big-government solutions to our social problems, Meacham trots out the tired old liberal boogeymen--Joe McCarthy, Herbert Hoover, George Wallace, Charles Coughlin and the Ku Klux Klan. And he can't resist noting Klan leader David Duke's endorsement of Donald Trump, who "appears determined to undermine the rule of law, a free press, and the sense of hope essential to American life."

Despite presenting a deeply flawed argument, this book is a bestseller.

Which Political Party created the KKK and was responsible for the lynchings you learned about??

I have not read anything from NPR in many years. There is no profit in it.

And you just look at those two photos and they're completely different. There's all kinds of grass and gaps that you see in the Trump photo.

President of the United States of America Donald John Trump (I love saying that) was administered the oath at noon and immediately gave about a 22 minute speech.

OK.

Zoom in on the clock tower in the lower right.

Well lookie there, the "inauguration" photo was actually taken at 1:15 pm, about 45 minutes after it was all over.

Apparently the esteemed professor emeritus of sociology at the University of Vermont James Loewen is peddling a load of proglib crap.
