The reason we have capital punishment is precisely because our society values life. You kill an innocent little seven year old girl and the State of Tennessee will kill you right back.
People may actually get the idea that the State of Tennessee respects life.
The main problem with capital punishment is that we don't use it nearly as often as we should to remove garbage like this killer from the planet. However, even occassional clean up is better than none at all.

Barbarism is murdering the innocents; seems Sotomeyer is okay with allowing the killing of babies but cries over the execution of a murderer who “might” suffer unnecessary pain; the murderer becomes the victim according to liberals.
