Oregon is like Washington....you have a central core that controls everything and the rest of the state just has to put up with it....

It was always kind of a maverick state. Horrifically exploited by the logging industry, and then they went bonkers in the other direction.

In is the most environmentally “aware” state in the union. So naturally almost every hippie in the country ended up there.
