Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s former personal attorney and fixer, isn’t the only one with secretly recorded audio of the president.
Multiple sources with direct knowledge of the situation tell The Daily Beast that Omarosa Manigault-Newman, the infamous former Apprentice star who followed Trump to the White House, secretly recorded conversations with the president—conversations she has since leveraged while shopping her forthcoming “tell-all” book, bluntly titled UNHINGED.
For months, it has been rumored that Manigault had clandestinely recorded on her smartphone “tapes” of unspecified private discussions she had in the West Wing. Audio actually does exist, and even stars Manigault’s former boss.
One person confirmed to The Daily Beast they had heard at least one of her recordings featuring President Trump. Multiple sources familiar with the so-called “Omarosa tapes” described the recorded conversations between Trump and Manigault as anodyne, everyday chatter, but said they did appear to feature Trump’s voice, either over the phone or in-person.
The mere existence of such recordings represent a dramatic betrayal of trust by a one-time Trump confidant who has since abandoned years of professed loyalty to the president and has apparently decided to profit off her years of closeness to Trump.
President Trump particularly loathes the idea of being recorded without his knowledge, and felt especially irked and betrayed when news broke that Cohen had done so, as The Daily Beast reported late last month.
Manigault didn’t respond to a request for comment on this story.

This was done within the White House walls. I’m sure there are other LAWS that apply other than State Laws.
If it was over the phone, it will depend on the state she was in. If it was an everyday meeting, I’m not sure ancestors it’s very JFK, LBJ and Nixonan to tape conversations in the White House. If she taped confidential conversations, then she’s in trouble, but with Deputy Dawg Jeff Sessions in protecting the deep state, nothing will happen.

I don't see how this could possibly be enforceable except for classified information that's governed by statute.
The President's staff doesn't work for the President - they work for and are paid by the American people - so who would the contract/NDA be with?.
I also don't know who would enforce this, certainly not in a way that would survive a new administration of the other party.

The reason why Trump hired her was to let her hang out to dry by her sheer incompetence.
He did it to Bannon. He did it to Tillerson. And he's probably doing it to Sessions.
That's not a mark against Trump - it's a mark against THEM. Working for Trump is the best once-in-a-lifetime opportunity one could have, and instead of taking charge (Trump is not a micromanager, he is a hands-off manager and gives you full responsibility) and being somewhat your own boss, if you don't perform, you'll will be persona non grata in the business world thereafter.

She’ll get her 15 minutes on The View or whatever lefty cable show she’ll peddle her new book. But once that high wears off, her career is going to vanish. I watched very little of the Apprentice back in the day, but did see her and had her pegged as a nut. Really bad idea to hire her for the WH
