Ted Cruz asks Trump to campaign for him in Texas
MSN News ^ | August 7, 2018 | Jeremy Wallace

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has asked President Donald Trump to come to Texas to campaign for him.

During a campaign stop in Seguin late Monday, Cruz said he has reached out to his former rival for the White House to help him with his re-election effort against Democrat Beto O’Rourke.

“I would certainly welcome his support and I hope to see him in Texas,” Cruz said, standing outside the Dixie Grill in Seguin. “I think we are likely to see the president down in Texas before the election.”

Cruz said while his relationship with Trump has had its “ups and downs” due to their 2016 GOP primary battle, he has tried to become an ally to the President. He said he has been in constant contact with the White House and Trump directly to offer his help in getting legislation through the Senate.

That was Cruz. Blamed Trump when the organized violent anarchist, rioters, Democrats, academia, BLM and assorted American hating mobs who assaulted cops and many others, blocked streets caused chaos and caused Trump to cancel the entire Chicago event.

Cruz basically said it was all caused by Trumps violent hate speech. Going on to say Trump was responsible for “creating an environment” that encourages violence at his events.

Just like a lying Democrat! Spit*...

Wow, so he provided cover for ANTIFA and BLM, really. When he should have been condemning them, not Trump. Yes, that is very low...and frankly quite unforgivable.

We’ll see. But the situation is different. There isn’t a big
fight internal to the GOP for the seat. Beto has money and
some appeal but I don’t think that will drag him across the
line in first place. In addition there are statewide races
for all the major positions, Govenor on down.

So yes.

I think President Trump will be glad to help

I still can't get Cruz' performance at the GOP convention out of my head when he failed to endorse Trump for the Presidency. It was disgraceful.

Yes what? Does this mean we should support evil but only if it has the right label?

You can try to put lipstick on this pig, but Cruz tried to embarrass the Rep candidate for President (who won the nomination squarely and fairly) on national TV at the convention. It was vindictive and petty. There is no way to walk back his perfidy. No doubt Cruz thought Trump had no chance to beat Hillary.

Trump will probably help Cruz because he needs GOP control of the Senate to at least help him move his agenda forward. So be it, but I would never trust such a person.

That is one reason but for sure not the only one; if the rats were not trying to impeach or impede President Trump would you really be happy if Beto won? I am pretty familiar with Beto...that would not be cool at all. The thing is he is better than most rats. So we get rats or people with an R that we don’t really want.

After what the rats are doing to Trump I fully understand why it is so hard to get real conservatives that would be wonderful to even consider running for office.

Pretty much wrong on all counts. Again, your CDS is showing.

I know you hate it,but he supported Trump.

I reject your straw-man argument based on ideological purity.

There is nothing close to moral equivalency between Ted Cruz and Beto O'Rourke.

You cannot even make that the argument otherwise.

Are you going really going to say that electing a supporter of abortion, homosexual rights, post modernist idiot who panders to every perversion and is an actual, literal Marxist is better than Ted Cruz?

I don’t think Perino and Gutfeld voted for Trump.

And did you not agree with this statement below?

IMHO, when it comes to this kind of thing, we need to be just like the RATs and support our guy no matter how bad.

In fact you did agree that “We” need to be just like the Democrats and support Republicans not matter how bad they are.

Right?

Romney will be the majority leader if he wins his race out in Utah. Mitch McConnell, may claim that title but he’ll just be a mere puppet and figurehead if you will. Romney will be running the show and he’ll be organizing his Rockefeller/GHW Bush globalist Republican army for outright “Civil War” for the heart and soul of the GOP it’s going to be bad and bloody as hell. So if you want to keep drinking you’re orange kool-aid and think all is right with the world then you go right ahead but don’t say I or my fellow Patriots didn’t try to warn you.

Laughably ridiculous. A freshman Senator cleans toilets, he doesn’t even know the Senate rules which dictate much of its activity.

MM will remain Speaker. Romney is just a Trivial Pursuit question not a powerful politician outside Utah.

I gave you facts. Cruz showed his true colors at the GOP convention. He could have given a full-throated endorsement of Trump to unite the party going forward and chose not to. He was an embarrassment to himself and the party. No class. He was a sore Cruzer.

Will you admit that Cruz made a major mistake at the Convention and that his behavior was indefensible?

Cruz could possible be on Canada’s Supreme Court but still has NOT produced a CRBA document to prove he is a US citizen.

“The child’s parents should contact the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to apply for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America (CRBA) to document that the child is a U.S. citizen.”
