A friend of mine is a retired cop and says black and whites doing crimes together is a growing trend. The white kids figure they will have access to the excuses the black kids get away with if they are caught.

I’m not so sure. It would make no sense for the judge to impose different sentances for perps of different races doing exactly the same crime. Not that hanging a doll is a crime . . . if it were a white doll, it wouldn’t even get reported, much less a 9-1-1 call.
