The police are routinely called for imagined expressions of “hate.” Not hate crime.
It is not a crime to scratch TRUMP on a sidewalk, or to throw a banana peel on a tree, or to eat watermelon.
If you did any of that on/near a black church or hoe/community center, I am sure it would be labelled a hate crime.
