CNN’s Brian Stelter, on his Sunday show “Reliable Sources,” aired a death threat that was aimed at both himself and fellow CNN anchor Don Lemon.
Stelter played back audio of a C-SPAN caller who said that, if he ever ran into him or Lemon on the street, he would shoot them.
“They started the war,” the caller said, “If I see them I’m going to shoot them.”

Stelter made it clear that his goal was not to elicit sympathy, and that he was not actually in fear for his life. “I know some of my colleagues get much worse threats than I do,” he explained. “And CNN has a great security team, and we know how to handle this stuff.”
The larger point Stelter was making was that threats against journalists were on the rise. “And this problem is not confined to CNN,” he continued. “People at Fox News and other outlets have to deal with this garbage too. These kinds of threats are coming more often.”
Attributing the rise of threats to “the Trump era,” Stelter noted that MSNBC’s Katy Tur had also recently received a number of vile threats.
Stelter conceded that there have “always been unhinged people in the world” — a fact that can’t be tied to President Trump — but ended on a quote from New York Times’ Bret Stephens: “We are approaching a day when blood on the newsroom floor will be blood on the president’s hands.”

I’ve gotten death threats phoned in for years as a broadcaster. They’re people hiding behind the anonymity of a telephone. People who live in their mommy’s basement and would pass out cold if they evrnbSAW a firearm in person.
When they make on the air, I always tell them the same thing: If you want to shoot me, kill me with the first shot. Because I shoot back and I don’t miss. The first time I used that was in the Clinton years and my message hadn’t changed.
If these two guys want to scream like a sissy girl because someone calls in a threat, they lay bare their own mettle.
And if someone wants them dead, they’re dead. No warning, no threats, just lights out.
They would think about it, IMO. They project their actions onto others like I’ve never seen before.
I read somewhere several months ago, that Trump has received a virtual deluge of death threats. But, death threats directed at presidents and other elected officials are quite common. I’m willing to bet that Trump has received more than the usual number of threats, and probably more than 0bama.
That’s right, IGNORE the thousands of threats against conservatives for the last 2 years...
Not much different than the average YouTube “celeb” that whines about “death threats”.
It has become a “get out of having to have disagreement against me” blanket.
“OMG someone said they want to shoot me! Send me sympathy and money!”
So far as I’ve seen no one has ever made good on their little worthless online threats. People all over get them. Theirs aren’t any more “special”.
If you are really scared of them, then call the cops.

on election night a woman I know who works for Associated Press called me, HYSTERICAL - I mean crying and screaming that she was afraid for her life and to please tell my “friends” that she was a fair journalist and not to target her. ELECTION NIGHT. She hung up on me when I started laughing. True story.

They hate Trump, our country and US with a passion so great it has overcome even the slightest sense of integrity they might once have had.
And they wonder why we hate them.
We have the capability unravel a Russian spy network, but can’t figure out where a call came from or the identitfy the caller.

To make this appear real, they will need to have someone murder a few news reporters to show the world how dangerous Trump is.
