CNN’s Brian Stelter, on his Sunday show “Reliable Sources,” aired a death threat that was aimed at both himself and fellow CNN anchor Don Lemon.
Stelter played back audio of a C-SPAN caller who said that, if he ever ran into him or Lemon on the street, he would shoot them.
“They started the war,” the caller said, “If I see them I’m going to shoot them.”

Stelter made it clear that his goal was not to elicit sympathy, and that he was not actually in fear for his life. “I know some of my colleagues get much worse threats than I do,” he explained. “And CNN has a great security team, and we know how to handle this stuff.”
The larger point Stelter was making was that threats against journalists were on the rise. “And this problem is not confined to CNN,” he continued. “People at Fox News and other outlets have to deal with this garbage too. These kinds of threats are coming more often.”
Attributing the rise of threats to “the Trump era,” Stelter noted that MSNBC’s Katy Tur had also recently received a number of vile threats.
Stelter conceded that there have “always been unhinged people in the world” — a fact that can’t be tied to President Trump — but ended on a quote from New York Times’ Bret Stephens: “We are approaching a day when blood on the newsroom floor will be blood on the president’s hands.”
Hannity has gotten the same for years and he doesn’t need to air them.

Hoax. it is SOP on the Left. If they need an incident to show that the Right is threatening them and the Right does not oblige them they manufacture the incident.

President Trump should have Sessions send FBI agents to contact Lemon and Stelter, and offer to use the full resources of the FBI and other law-enforcement agencies to track down the person who issued the threat.

I don’t understand threats. If you want to do something bad to someone either do it or not, but don’t say you’re going to do it. If you say you’re going to do it and then don’t youve proven yourself to be a lying windbag. If you really are going to do something you put the person on alert and make your job harder plus you make it harder for other people who have that individual on their SHTF list
For example I suspect that People like Jennifer Ruben and Kathleen Parker are likely on a number of northern Va lists, but those with the lists aren’t saying or even acknowledging that they have lists.
I wonder how much Stelter and Lemon paid to have that call made.

There have been well over 500 documented cases of violence against Trump supporters since November of 2016.
You know how many acts of violence Trump supporters have committed?
ONE. It was the old man at a Trump Rally prior to the election who got up and punched a protester because that protester was screaming obscenities until he was finally removed from the rally.
By a ratio of more than 500:1, Democrats and their supporters are far more violent than any Trump supporter.
Case in point: It was BERNIE SANDERS volunteer and supporter that shot Congressman Steve Scalise and others at a Republican Softball Practice. The shooter even asked "Are those Republican's out there?" before opening fire.
Tell me again how it's Trump supporters that are violent.

I don believe it is a hoax. For me the “they started the war” part is the clincher in that: It is the Truth and the left wouldn’t even think to use it
