The announcement comes weeks after the incident that sparked the controversy. Rising junior Hamzeh Daoud, who identified himself as a “third-generation Palestinian refugee” in a Stanford Daily post published Friday, was upset after Israel passed a controversial bill in mid-July defining itself as the nation-state of the Jewish people.
“im gonna physically fight zionists on campus next year if someone comes at me with their ‘israel is a democracy’ bullshit,” Daoud wrote in what he later described as an “emotion-filled” moment.
Just a few hours later, Daoud edited the post to say he would “intellectually fight Zionists” and said he never meant to imply he intended to physically harm anyone.
“I apologize from the bottom of my heart to everyone who was triggered by it. I recognize that I was projecting my own trauma onto others in a way that is never acceptable,” he wrote in the Daily.
But the fallout from his original post had already begun to snowball across campus and beyond.

I understand the significance to the Jewish people to the lands they occupy, I was merely pointing out just how hard, and often bloody it's been for them, and how much easier it would have been elsewhere. Montana was simply a place where they could have flourished much more easily, not knowing of the acts of FDR, a man loath to this day.
Not just Berzerkley. Pretty much ANY university that has an active Muslim Brotherhood (oops! I mean “Muslim Students Association”) chapter on campus and/or has active chapters of Israeli Apartheid Week and Boycott-Divest-Sanction.
As for IAW/BDS, University of Toronto and York University take the prize for being ground-zero of that particular disease.
Stanford’s been loony left for decades. I knew a conservative, Christian, wingtip type guy who went there on a fellowship. Came back years later wearing sandals and spewing proggie tripe. University indoctrination works scarily well.

I have never met a millennial who believes that you should be free to hold opinions without a threat of violence. They believe violence is acceptable if you support something that is “indefensible” in their eyes.
