Don Lemon responds to Trump attack on Lebron: 'Who’s the real dummy?'

CNN host Don Lemon fired back at President Trump on Saturday after the president sent a tweet attacking Lemon and questioning the intelligence of NBA star LeBron James, whom the CNN host interviewed this week.

Lemon pointed out James's recent decision to open a school in Ohio for at-risk third- and fourth-graders as evidence that the NBA star was no "dummy" after Trump wrote Friday that Lemon had managed to make James look intelligent, which he said wasn't "easy to do."

"Who’s the real dummy? A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages?" Lemon tweeted Saturday, including the hashtag "Be Best" used by first lady Melania Trump on her anti-bullying campaign.

CNN anchor Don Lemon stepped out on Saturday night holding hands with his rumored boyfriend. The 51-year-old veteran journalist attended the star-studded Saturday Night Live after party at Tao Restaurant and Night Club in New York City with Tim Malone. It appears as though Lemon has been dating Malone since at least April, according to a number of photos posted to their respective social media accounts. But this is the first time Lemon has been photographed publicly with Malone, who works as a sales executive in his 30s and graduated from Boston College in 2006, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Actually, LeBron has provided a LOT of money to get students through college in his home town of Akron, OH. And I do mean a lot of money.

At least LeBron is actuallydoing something very visible to improve the lot of people in Akron, and despite his politics has not offended fans for the wrong reasons. Colin Kaepernick made too political enemies with that "polics as pig" sock and that T-shirt that celebrated Fidel Castro.

I actually think this is a waste of time for Trump. I personally think that his response should be along the lines of:

‘Lebron has done some great things for underprivileged kids, and I loudly and strongly applaud that. In that goal, he and I agree entirely, so I’m not really sure why he has been so strongly critical. We should be working together to give inner city communities the tools, skills, and motivation to lift themselves to great heights - not doing what the Democrats have done to these communities by encouraging dependence upon government and in the process robbing them of their self esteem.’
