The more I think about it, the less I care about Sarah Jeong. I dont think Id ever read anything shed written before this week and having now read a few things I dont think I was missing all that much. Thats not meant as a slam on her ability because I think shes actually a good writer. But the subject she writes about isnt that interesting to me. She styles herself an expert on technology, which doesnt mean she can rebuild a V-8 engine or repair a circuit board. In media parlance, it means she has opinions about social media. So whatever.
I dont even care very much about her racist tweets, per se, or even her lame excuse for making them. What does bother me is the way in which the left collectively responded to her tweets with a big shrug. Ed wrote earlier about the Washington Post piece which wonders aloud whether Jeong did anything wrong. I read the same piece this morning and this is the paragraph that stood out:

Redundant headline. There was never anything right (correct) with the left at any time.
There has been nothing “Good” EVER about the left..what they are are a bunch of Commie loving, Nazi loving, Jew Hating, white people bashing pieces of FILTH
People are really losing their grasp on the word “Technology”
We see ads using the word to describe things that are nothing. “Our tangle-free technology” usually means “We put a plastic piece here that stops tangling”.
I have a client who uses the system that I made him. He calls it “his technology”. That word isn’t what he thinks it is.
She represents the first break in the long-built leftwing double standard.
She is obviously being a racist.
Yet the left is apologetic. They are completely wrong. But they are right, that she should be left alone.
What needs to change, is EVERYONE is entitled to the very same opinions, about everyone else.
Not just one group.
Return to free speech once again.
Now.
I love her and Ocasio-Cortez both.
They are HELPING us.
Oh, and Hillary.
Let them ALL live very long lives, and assist in destroying The Left.
This, Jen, is the Internet
We left people like that alone in the 1920s and 1930s, and we got a world war for our troubles.
She’s also a misandrist but that’s ok. At least she is not a misogynist.
Here is true "privilege", in the accurate original sense of "being exempt from the rules that common people must obey". By virtue of being a non-white female, she is allowed to express hatred of white people. White people are thus deemed "non people", excluded from the protections that others enjoy.
This will ultimately be resolved in fire and blood. The Left has msde it inevitable.
It’s a warning sign allright, time to board up the windows and plan an emergency meeting place for you and your (white) family members.
“Sarah Jeong Is A Warning Sign Of Something Wrong With The Left”
Agreed, 100%.
Nonetheless, they are all certifiable, and worthy targets of our derision.
Go Sarah!
I hope she is on the front page everyday and anytime a Times reporter shows their face they need to be asked about Sarah.
Anytime a conservative quotes from her articles and include her racist tweets in describing her.
Make the Times defend her everyday.
Thing is she is the norm among libtards. Vast majority of them think like her and act like her.
Something wong.
Time was, when I was a kid, that the N.Y. Times was written for at least a senior in high school level ( which in today's education system means post PHD degree level); especially the Sunday editions.
The Leftists have always been this way, this is nothing new.
They are simply having a harder time concealing it now.
Well, I hope you’re right, but some reports say that Cortez already is getting substantial bucks from the West Coast communists.
They theoretically have no skin in the game of a NY election. But they obviously are playing the long game.
Again, I hope you’re right. But these cultural marxists need to be snuffed out, and soon, or it will be too late to fix things in a civilized manner.
