A group of pro-Erdoğan Turkish lawyers has applied to the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office for the arrest of members of the US military at İncirlik Airbase in Adana for their alleged cooperation with the Gülen movement, according to a report by the Cumhuriyet daily on Friday.

According to the report, lawyers working for the the Association for Social Justice and Aid (Toplumsal Adalet ve Yardımlaşma Derneği in Turkish, or TAY-DER), a front NGO that was set up on June 15, 2016 and formally registered a month later with the support of senior government officials, including some in the judiciary and police department, asked in their petition for the arrest of American soldiers at İncirlik Airbase for attempting to destroy the constitutional order, attempting to prevent partially or totally the Turkish government from exercising its authority and endangering the sovereignty of the Turkish state” by their activities with the Gülen movement.

Snip-

The 60-page criminal complaint names Col. John C. Walker, Col. Michael H. Manion, Col. David Eaglen, Col. David Trucksa, Lt. Col. Timothy J. Cook, Lt. Col. Mack R. Coker, Sgt. Thomas S. Cooper, Sgt. Vegas M. Clark and others deployed to İncirlik Base and asks for their detention.

Gen. Joseph Votel, the commander of the US Central Command, retired US Army Gen. John F. Campbell and Air Force Brig. Gen. Rick Boutwell, director of regional affairs, Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, were also named in the complaint.

The complaint seeks not only the detention of the US troops but also the issuance of search and seizure warrants for İncirlik Airbase to gather evidence, and a halt to all outbound US flights from the base.

Erdogan's Turk attorneys seek arrest of General Votel (and other Coalition officers)?

For daring to speak highly of Syrian Kurd bravery against ISIS butchers?

We don’t have a Status of Forces Agreement with Turkey? Korean police had to turn me over to the American MPs if they ever arrested me for anything, from jaywalking to murder.

Harassment by Erdogan.

He wants something. Probably money, given how things are going there.

We should attach the reply to the complaint to a MOAB and drop it on top of goat-humper Erdogan’s head.

I realize that Incirlik is important due to it’s location. But Turkey hasn’t been an ally for some time. It’s time to relocate our assets someplace else.

Oh, and give Turkey back their investment in the F-35. If we let them have one, they will show the Russians how to kill it with their S-400 system. They will show it to Iran.

I am not saying to get hostile with them, but certainly, they need to be held at arm’s length; similar to the way we’d treat Iran. Kick them out of NATO. Let them go back to the ninth century.

NATO needs to toss them out. They are already cozying up to Russia

That is what Erdogan thinks he wants.

Putin is playing cat and mouse with him.

His enemies still exist inside Turkey.

Erdo’s allies are now ISIS, al-Qaeda (Nusra) and other Jihadi butchers. And Venezuela’s fellow dictator Maduro.

Arresting officers of a NATO ally would change so many things so fast that I don’t think even Erdogan wants to go there. If he does, we can accommodate him.

Ok, we’ll give him something... We’ll give him a pair of GBU-31(V)3/B JDAM’s.

Think it is time to let our Greek and Russian Orthodox friends that they can come back and reclaim the Hagia Sophia. We’ll handle the security. Better use of our time and treasure. :)
