kids get money other than from their parents. the store is the appropriate choke point.

Is it? Why is it government's role to control that purchase for the family? I'm okay with store policy or even the clerk refusing to make a sale, but I get squeamish every time even more government force is introduced into our lives.

sometimes in a”free market” where adult items are sold, kids have to be prevented from making the purchase. you may disagree. i showed run my first post parents cannot always control what their kids by or the source of their money. I want the liquor stores to not sell to my kids and i want the porn shops and video stores to not sell them adult products. i understand libertarian philosophy as well as anyone I know, , but sometimes you have to be practical and not theoretical. Protecting kids is one of those times.
