No one will have the balls to bring this up to Comrade O-C.
Libs in the US have an answer for this too. They didn’t implement “real” Socialism in Venezuela. If we can implement “real” Socialism, it will work.
But that wasn’t REAL socialism.
Besides, they didn’t go all in and allocate enough resources, or kill enough ‘reactionaries.’
And the US was attacking them constantly with sanctions, etc.

I think that’s what Mussolini admitted as he moved from his failed socialist policies to fascism.
Alexandria believes that socialism works, as long as other people are paying for the free stuff. To get that free stuff, she wants the rich to pay of it all, along with the working class.
She’s not smart enough to look further down the line, when the rich will no longer be rich because of that socialism, and the working stiffs can’t find the work to pay the taxes that would pay for that socialism.
But, socialism is not about helping the poor and the needy; it’s about control. Socialism eventually turns into communism, and deep in their hearts, all socialists are communists.
...No one will have the balls to bring this up to Comrade O-C...
The Boston University trained Ecommunist.
What the heck, America ran a $375,000,000,000.00 trade deficit last year with the largest socialist (actually communist) country in the world.
We ran the largest trade deficit in recorded history.
The biggest. Ever. Between any two countries.
With the largest communist country.
Anywhere.
That’s the answer, tell socialists to fix Venezuelan before talking about it in the USA!
You have to read the story closely.
He does not admit socialism failed because of socialism. He blames it on outside forces.
He says they’ll just have to work harder to overcome those forces.
But we all know the fault is socialism.
> Venezuelan leader ADMITS socialism has FAILED <
No, not really. Maduro just admitted that current methods have failed. And that’s a typical socialist dodge: Socialism isn’t bad. It’s just that - for various reasons - it is not being applied properly.
And as every good socialist will tell you, it’s the “wreckers” that are the problem, not socialism itself.
Crowley, the man Ocasio-Cortez defeated in the primary, is still on the ballot. I haven’t read anything about him actually campaigning. But Joe Lieberman has asked voters in the district to vote for Crowley. I was hoping that O-C was all in with the 16,000 votes she received in the primary and the larger district would just vote for Crowley. But with Crowley not apparently actively campaigning and the media making a rock star out of O-C it seems a dim prospect come November.
The thing is, if O-C gets elected the Democrats will be forced to give her an outsized role in government because of her popularity and the dazzle created around her by the media. She may even end up, eventually, being a presidential candidate. All it takes to get her elected will be the perfect storm of an unpopular war and a bad economy occurring at the same time and we’ll have somebody in office who is potentially more damaging than Obama was. I’d be tempted to send Crowley a donation if it appeared he was actually running for the office. Keeping O-C out of office would be about a pound of prevention.
I was going to make the same point you are absolutely right.
All of the socialists who think Norway is a dreamy country should realize you have to earn a minimum of $47,000 a year to be permitted to immigrate to become a citizen.
Right. It isn’t that Socialism has failed, that’s impossible. It’s the Venezuelan people who have failed.
One of two things should happen:
1. Ocasio-Cortez should ask for her tuition money back because she really knows nothing about economics.
2. Boston University should be publicly embarrassed each time she stands up to speak because she is a total idiot on economics.
