Trump: Sanctions against Russia will 'remain in place'
NY Post ^ | 7/30/18 | Bob Fredericks

President Trump on Monday insisted that the United States will not drop sanctions against Moscow.

“Sanctions on Russia will remain as is,” Trump said, even as Putin demands that they be dropped.

Italy’s prime minister, Giuseppe Conte first broached the subject and said lifting the sanctions would be “unthinkable.”

Trump also scolded Germany — just as he did at the NATO summit — for agreeing to use a Russian natural gas pipeline while, in his estimation, not paying enough for defense.

This "scolding" is really a veiled threat to Russia (not vailed to Putin). Along with that, keeping up sanctions that are tougher than Obama's.

But he should have publically badgered Putin in the summit. That would have been really helpful /s

So it’s a win-win-win situation.

Truth eluding this one? When one agrees to a certain percentage of GDP and doesn’t pay it, it is a fact and not anyone's “estimation”, never mind not being for “ defense ” per se but for NATO particularly.

"This "scolding" is really a veiled threat to Russia" / A threat to Russia?Trump is not stupid. "Most Germans support Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline, saying US vitriol just desire to sell own gas. The majority of Germans support Nord Stream 2, a poll revealed Monday. It also showed that most dismissed Donald Trump’s negative comments on the pipeline as a tactic to promote US liquefied gas in Europe."

The Soviet era could war is over, so that gas pipeline is none of our business. The Europeans are not sufficiently afraid of the Russians to favor our higher priced liquified gas over cheaper Russian gas delivered by pipeline, so why is Trump interjecting the USA into this matter? Just so he can say, “Hey, I really am tough on the Russians”?

So he doesn’t end up at Dealy Plaza II? I would put nothing past the MIC and neoconartists. He has on offensive against the Statist left. He has a holding action against the Statist (globalist) “right”. He is throwing them sops, and may have to.

NATO.

There, that wasn’t so hard to come up with a rock solid reason was it?

Obama is no longer president, you don’t have to be such Putin fanboys anymore. Russia’s pestering antics have only helped the Left and hurt Trump.
