China blowtorches dogs alive after hanging them from a meathook through their jaw. At least the Koreans mostly electrocute them. Although they both boil small animals alive.

I am supporting a great group if you love dogs ( or cats) called No Dogs Left Behind, who stop the huge and inhumane trucks filled with 600-1200 dogs, no water or food for days, crammed in on top of each other so they can barely breathe. They rescue the dogs, vet them and adopt them out.

They are the most well-organized and well-run rescue group I have encountered. And 501c. I have been so impressed - they are bringing in college students as volunteers. The guy running this thing is a genius and just may shut down eating pets in China in our lifetime. He also teaches classes in Beijing. I think he is Hungarian but he speaks many languages.

Mao ate puppies for breakfast... really.

Many cultures eat dog. Chow were bred for food, hence the term Chow or Chow down. I’ve been all over the western pacific and SE Asia, dog meat is quite common.
