The Facts Behind The Trump Tower Meeting Are Incriminating, But Not For Trump
The Federalist ^ | July 30, 2018 | Willis L. Krumholz

According to “sources with knowledge” talking to CNN—whatever that means—Michael Cohen is prepared to tell Special Counsel Robert Mueller that Donald Trump knew in advance about the June 9, 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Don Jr. and Russians. The president still denies knowing about that meeting beforehand.

Don Jr. was emailed by a British music promoter, Rob Goldstone, who promised that the Russian “crown prosecutor” had information that would “incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia.” When the meeting took place, in walked two Russian nationals, Rinat Akhmetshin and Natalia Veselnitskaya, who proceeded to talk to Don Jr., Jared Kushner, and others about how Americans could once again adopt Russian children, if only the Magnitsky Act were repealed. Eyes surely rolled, and the meeting was ended. Kushner even messaged his assistant to try to come up with an excuse to leave the meeting early.

Scooter might disagree. He was charged for lying because recollection disagreed with Robert Novak(?).

Then the FBI gets to decide which fish they want to fry? Scooter was the obvious choice because they wanted Cheney

Novak? Libby got nailed on more than just perjury. Additionally, his appeal of his conviction was turned down. He played a game, maybe out of loyalty, and got burned.

Yes, but when you have a disagreement about the facts, you can say one of the statements is not true. (Hence perjury, which is not disagreement, but is a felony. \

Note that I am not saying Trump will be the one who is committing perjury, in actuallity they hate him so much that they could be lying and Mueller will still have his “case”.

I would hope very much that Trump does not take the interview with Mueller.

Yes, people can be found guilty of anything. But Trump would, if impeached, tried by the Senate which is in republican hands. And there’s little chance of impeachment with the House. And an even less chance of guilt even if he

He was charged not for that, but for his claim to investigators that he didn't know Plame worked at the CIA. Undercauuting that claim was evidence Scooter asked the CIA about her employ at the CIA.

Fitzgerald ran an ass backwards investigation, just as Mueller is. Rather than establish the existence of a crime first (if we take the leak as true), he went out to manufacture a crime. Same MO by team Rosenstein and Mueller. No allegation of crime in the first place, just a counterintelligence investigation.

Sorry about the earlier post. Cell phone. It's entirely possible Trump could perjure himself. But basically that has to occur while under oath undermining previous under oath comments. That's what happened with Clinton during Monica. Actually, if we believe that Trump is smarter than most people and plays 4D chess, he should be anticipating any questions designed to be make him contradict himself and avoiding falling in the trap of them.

Also remember, since Trump is President his prosecution vehicle is impeachment. It's unlikely a Republican controlled house would impeach him unless the crime is horribly serious and simply couldn't be avoided. And it's even less likely the Republican controlled Senate would convict him.

From your mouth to g-ds ears.

However I believe there are enough republicans who owe the Koch brothers for their office that they would do the establishment bidding.

I trust that Trump could avoid troubling questions but Mueller may “produce” two witnesses to counter something that Trump states under oath and then turn to the media for the viral expansion. We do not have the security of a Judge and jury to allow the fake witnesses to be properly discredited so it will come down to politics and shear numbers.

Best answer to that is the good works that Trump is doing and an election that adds (rather than subtracts) to his lead in both houses.

But if you supported Scooter last decade, he had a judge and jury and lost. Big. I think Trump is safer with the House and Senate. Sure, he would get grilled by dems, but if he’s as good and smart as supporters give him credit for, he should have no problem. I just don’t see him getting impeached.

And it is all made possible by the LEFT MEDIA CARTEL. If we had a free independent press, they would have poked so many holes in this nonsense, it would have been over before it started.

We all need to stop funding the LEFT, stop funding this nonsense.

Poor Scooter,

That was an example of the railroad and I did not like it then. But now, a judge could throw out the Dossier and anything gathered in its wake. This does not apply in the court of public opinion.

But I am watching Trump in Tampa, and I don’t see impeachment in his future with that crowd behind him
